How MSL teams use Medical.watch

3 tips to improve your relationships with HCPs

After our post on 3 ways to use social media for pre-call planning, some of you asked how MSLs can use Medical.watch. We’ve got ideas. 🙂

Let’s get to it.

1. Find new HCPs

Need to find new HCPs in your disease category? Every two weeks, you’ll get a list of top influencers in your inbox.

How to use: reach out to your HCPs for interactions, ad boards and more.

2. View past tweets

Before an interaction, it’s good practice to review your HCP’s recent tweets. This helps you discover research interests, personal hobbies and more.

How to use:

“I noticed you’re following the treatment landscape in HR+ mBC. What do you think of the recent elascestrant approval?”

Understanding what your HCPs care about leads to better interactions.

3. See trending topics

It’s always good to know which topics are driving the conversation online. For example, are HCPs attending a conference? Excited about a study?

How to use:

“I just saw this tweet from someone you respect on DESTINY-Breast09. What do you think?”

Being aware of trending topics can help you understand what HCPs are thinking. This leads to better relationships with your HCPs.

Bonus tip: set up group discussions

Here’s an idea your HCPs will love: invite them to join group discussions on a specific topic.

How to use:

“I know you’re interested in ESR1 mutations, I know Dr. X in Boston and Dr. Y in Miami who are also interested. Could we have a shared discussion with 2-3 physicians and 2 MSLs?”

Now you’re helping your HCPs learn from each other and connect for networking purposes.

Your HCPs will love this. ❤️
